The number of street kids and orphans is increasing with each moment that passes by. The problem of orphan/street kids (children) is acute due to some factors that includes urbanization and industrialization.

Due to the death tolls of HIV/AIDS affected person factors such as the re-marriage of deserted, widowed, divorced women, the absence of love, security in homes, family disputes, and unwanted pregnancy of trafficking/sexually exploited females are all alarming contributions. These orphans are often left without care or any form of support. The aftermath or ripple effect of the unwholesome neglect of these children can result in dubious acts such as rag picking, pick-pocketing, and participation in anti-social, criminal activities.
